A mother and two children at Tjideng internment camp Batavia, Java, where they existed as prisoners in the Camp which is a fenced off portion of the worst slums of Batavia, situated in the hottest part of Java. As many as twenty women were forced to live in one house where before the war two people lived. Living in cramped quarters, amidst squalor and filth with practically no clothing was the lot of these internees for over three and a half years. NI 6055 Mevrouw Bertha Mathilde Hoppe-Spanjaard. Kinderen vlnr. Frans, Louise en Jette.
